Medicare
Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP)
Individuals with a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) or referral from a Paediatrician or Psychiatrist are eligible for rebates through Medicare for up to 10 consultations per year. The Medicare rebate for eligible MHCP consultations with an educational and developmental psychologist is $86.15 and with a clinical psychologist is $126.50.
GP management plan (GPMP)
Individuals with a GP management plan (GPMP) are eligible for rebates through Medicare for up to 5 consultations per year. The Medicare rebate for eligible GPMP consultations is $53.80.
Helping children with autism
Children under the age of 13 years, when referred by an eligible practitioner for the purpose of assisting the practitioner with their diagnosis of the child for ASD, can be eligible for rebates through Medicare up to a maximum of 4 consultations. The Medicare rebate for eligible consultations is $86.15.
Children under the age of 15 years, when referred by an eligible practitioner for the purpose of intervention for ASD, can be eligible for rebates through Medicare up to a maximum of 20 consultations. The Medicare rebate for eligible consultations is $86.15.

Private health
Individuals may be eligible for private health rebates depending on their level of Private Health Insurance cover and policy. Please contact your insurer to gain further information.
NDIS
Individuals who are NDIS self- or plan- manged should be eligible to access their NDIS funding for their psychological services, if this is provisioned for in their NDIS Plan. For further information please contact your LAC and visit the NDIS.
